Fellowship program in 2021: French-speaking Africa
19 April 2021
A call for fellowship applications, open to members of the AO Alliance community (faculty and former course participants) in French-speaking Africa (FSA), was published on January 29. Applications received were evaluated by Dr Léandre Nguiabanda (Fellowship Program Coordinator) and Dr Florent Anicet Lekina (FSA Steering Committee Chair) based on the recommendations of national course chairs and residency supervisors.
This year, considering the restrictions on international travel, the call for applications was open only to national fellowship candidates in the four AO Alliance FSA fellowship host centers: Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Gabon, and Togo. Fellows who were unable to complete the program in 2020 due to the pandemic will resume this year. A total of 16 fellows were selected and will soon begin their training.
