AO Alliance to Launch New Governance Structure for FSP Asia
The Steering Committee meeting for the Fracture Solutions for Asia project (FSP) that took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka on March 17th, led to the successful restructuring of the Committee. The new competency-based structure will ensure all activities under the program are seamlessly integrated across the region for maximum impact.
As of July 2018, the Committee will be composed of one representative from each of the seven FSP Asia countries as well as the Asia Regional Director, Dr Ram K. Shah. Prof Ramesh P. Singh, from Nepal, will serve as Chair for a five-year term. Under the new competency-based structure, Committee members will be responsible for specific project domains, rather than acting as representatives of their respective countries. Fracture Solutions for Asia comprises nonoperative and operative education, fellowships, education for operating room personnel, AOTrauma approved courses, and faculty development training.
