Online fracture care lectures available

To our AO Alliance community

27 March 2020

To our AO Alliance community,

COVID-19 is changing everything about life and work as we know it. We’re all focused on how to best protect and support our families, employees, patients and communities in the face of this unfolding crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced all schools and universities to close and send students home. This reality has forced us on a crash course of online learning technology and plans for students and faculty. This is also the reality for all our face-to-face events, at least until April 30, 2020.

I want to take the opportunity to remind all our contributors of the rich online resources available here on our website.

Education’s giant online education experiment is going to accelerate changes that were already at play. We are now all part of that experiment.

We recorded four webinars in our earlier years:

  1. Treatment of fracture related infections in low-income countries (LICs) (June 26, 2017)
  2. Treatment of ankle fractures in low-income countries (October 24, 2016)
  3. Treatment of pediatric elbow injuries in low-income countries (April 11, 2016)
  4. Treatment of open tibia fractures in low-income countries (October 26, 2015)

COVID-19 is pushing remote learning mainstream.  As we further develop appropriate online fracture care education for low- and middle-income countries, please refer to our online resources.

Stay safe and healthy,
