Barbara Rigassi joins as Chair of the AO Alliance Board of Directors
The AO Alliance Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Barbara Rigassi as the new Chair of the AO Alliance Board of Directors effective January 1, 2025. She succeeds Rolf Jeker, who has served with distinction in this role since the AO Alliance was created in 2015. Rigassi brings with her a wealth of experience and a distinguished career in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, making her an invaluable addition to the AO Alliance governance team.
Until recently, Rigassi was the managing partner of BHP – Brugger und Partner AG. Having held important executive management positions and served as a member and chair of various strategic bodies, including boards of directors and foundation boards for over 20 years, Rigassi has a proven track record of guiding organizations towards success. Her career has covered the Swiss government, private enterprises, including in finance and insurance, and non-governmental organizations. She has been recognized for her strategic vision and ability to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
The AO Alliance is confident that Rigassi’s leadership will be instrumental in furthering our mission to improve trauma and musculoskeletal care in low- and middle-income countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. Her strategic vision, combined with her extensive experience and deep understanding of both public and private sector dynamics, will undoubtedly drive the AO Alliance to deepen its impact.
We warmly welcome Barbara Rigassi to her new role and look forward to her contributions to the continued success and growth of the AO Alliance.
