Asia faculty attend Chair Education Training course in Bangladesh

The AO Alliance conducted its Chair Education Training (CET) course in Dhaka, Bangladesh on November 8-9, 2025, bringing together 21 AO Alliance leaders from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. All participants currently serve as faculty for AO Alliance courses and have previously completed the Faculty Education Training program.

The course was led by Miriam Uhlmann of Switzerland, with training delivered by Naomi Amuron of Uganda and trainer support from Quazi Shahid-Ul Alam of Bangladesh.

The CET program is designed to prepare faculty members to take on chairperson roles within AO Alliance educational events. The curriculum emphasized key principles of curriculum design and management, focusing on problem identification and needs assessment, understanding target learners, developing learning objectives, selecting appropriate educational methods, and implementing effective evaluation and feedback strategies. It also teaches leadership skills.

With a grounding in educational principles and best practices, participants are expected to be well equipped to oversee future AO Alliance trainings. The program ensures that AO Alliance courses continue to be delivered with consistency and high quality across the region.
