Improving frontline healthcare workers’ safety

Naton Medical Group donates surgical masks

Naton Medical Group, a well-established medical enterprise in China contributing to the medtech industry, has been donating implants to the AO Alliance for use in sub-Saharan Africa since 2018. The Africa CDC made the urgent call for preparedness to avert a possible “acute shortage” of personal protective equipment (PPE) due to disruptions in the global supply chain.

Achieving sufficient PPE supply will be critical to containing the COVID-19 pandemic and enabling the world’s safe return to more normal economic activities. Industry efforts to pivot their operations and create additional products are vital to public health and reliable restoration of commercial activities. This is what Naton has been able to do.

Naton made a generous donation of 100,000 surgical masks to the AO Alliance for frontline healthcare workers in sub-Saharan Africa.

The AO Alliance recognizes the challenges, concerns, and frustration about the shortage of PPE that is affecting the care of patients and safety of healthcare workers around the world. We seek creative and immediate solutions to maximize the use of PPE, preserve its supply, and to identify new sources of PPE.
